About the West Surrey Badger Group

We are a friendly, active group of volunteers, dedicated to protecting badgers across West Surrey.

We monitor setts, rescue injured or orphaned badgers, and offer expert advice to landowners, developers and the general public. Through our training, badger-watching and volunteer opportunities, we help educate and encourage others to get involved to secure the future of these amazing creatures. As a local group, we are affiliated to the Badger Trust and support their national campaigns.

Membership and volunteering

By becoming a member you will give vital funds that allow us to continue our work in protecting badgers. You will receive a regular newsletter and be invited to training events and meetings. You will also have access to our exclusive badger-watching hide near Tilford. If you wish to volunteer for us, full training and support will be given by the group at all times.
