Become a volunteer

The WSBG would not be able to continue its vital work without the help of its dedicated volunteers. If you would like to join our friendly group to help in any way, please get in contact.

In particular, our network of volunteer Local Field Officers & sett surveyors are crucial in monitoring local badger populations and averting threats from development. We need help with rescues, particularly in spring & summer when badgers are most active. Full training & support will be given to anyone wishing to take on these roles.

Year round we need help on our stall at various events, giving talks to different organisations and with content for our members' quarterly newsletter.

We are also currently looking for anyone with social media expertise. From April 2026, we will be looking for a new Chairperson for our committee.
